Born in a basement rehearsal studio and built on pure passion for live music, Positive Vybz Band is a powerhouse collective of seasoned musicians from Maryland’s Eastern Shore, Prince George’s County, Northern Virginia, Florida, and Washington, DC. What started as a group of talented artists coming together to jam quickly evolved into a dynamic band with a clear mission—spread good energy and keep the Go-Go crank alive.
After months of shaping their sound and identity, the group chose the name Positive Vybz to reflect exactly what they bring to every stage: uplifting energy, crowd-moving rhythm, and a feel-good atmosphere that turns every performance into a celebration.
Blending classic Go-Go crank with R&B, funk, country soul and crowd-favorite covers, Positive Vybz delivers a high-energy show that keeps audiences dancing all night. Featuring experienced musicians and Go-Go veterans, the band brings both authenticity and fresh creativity to the DMV’s legendary live music scene.
Their momentum is already building. In 2024, Positive Vybz was featured on FOX 5 DC, and in 2026 the band was the subject of the documentary “Band Life,” released on the FAWESOME streaming platform—an inside look at the real journey of building and sustaining a band through the highs, lows, and everything in between.
